Your talk is 80% there. Here’s the missing 20%.

Let me be blunt: most speakers don’t plateau because of content. They plateau because of execution.
Last week alone, I worked with a founder preparing a major investor pitch, a CHRO speaking to 8,000 employees, and a consultant refining her signature keynote.
Different industries. Same bottleneck:
They know what to say.
But they can’t consistently deliver it in a way the audience actually feels.
And it’s not a talent problem. It’s not a confidence problem.
It’s a translation problem:
turning what you understand in theory into what the audience feels in the room.
That’s the final 20%.
And it’s where most talks fall short.
If you’ve applied the frameworks and still feel something isn’t landing, that’s expected. Frameworks get you to “good.” What gets you to “compelling” is targeted feedback from someone who actually speaks every week, not a coach who only teaches the craft.
Before you work with any coach (including me), use this filter:
“How often do you speak? Who hires you? Can I talk to one of your clients?”
It instantly separates real-world expertise from classroom knowledge.
